History 

KDL was started in 1999 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Pitt Ohio Express, a regional LTL (Less than Truckload) carrier. The vision was to create value for small to midsize manufacturers and distributors by decreasing cost while enhancing their supply chain efficiency and visibility. KDL's customized solutions were and still are geared to complement the services transportation providers are currently performing today for the client. In 2003, KDL was spun off and today is a stand-alone organization. This autonomy eliminates any carrier bias when evaluating a client's transportation program and providing recommendations and solutions.
